Quick Mention: SUSE Loses Another Battle to Mandriva

Posted in GNU/Linux, Opensuse, Mandriva at 7:41 am by Roy Schestowitz

Yes, it has just happened again.

Final Score:
Mandriva Linux = 6
openSUSE = 2
*Winner, Mandriva Linux!

Conclusion:
Mandriva Linux 2008 may have convincingly won the battle against openSUSE 10.3 but not unanimously because there’s only one judge and that is me :) So, to those who have experienced using these two distros and can compare which of them is better, feel free to give us some feedback.

It was a few months ago that Susan Linton performed an experiment. She ran a similar ‘neck-to-neck’ comparison where Mandriva won not so marginally (4 categories to 2 in fact). A couple of months later, Linux Caixa Mágica dropped openSUSE as its codebase. It moved over to Mandriva 2008 instead.

You’re honestly so sick Roy, you seem to nurture yourself only from perceived bad news bits.

I really hope for you that you will find a job, a girl-friend or a psychologist - whatever you’re really missing - next year.

    Hey ‘eet’,

Still can’t stick with one ISP and one nym it would seem (posting from arcor-ip.net this time). Just because you change names all the time doesn’t make you look like a crowd.

Oh, of course I fully agree that you need a life. And professional help.

Well, well, well; so have just deleted my comment in which I explained that I CANNOT post under ‘eet’ because those messages get automatically filtered out…

So, once more: It is hypocritical, not to say, fraudulent of you to first prevent me from posting as ‘eet’ and then criticizing me for using arbitrary sequences of characters instead of a name.

    Coward.

And, also once more: the topmost comment didn’t come from me.

Go on, delete this one, too, and show us the coward you really are…

Do you take pleasure in flooding the system by accessing the site from different ISPs and making alternations to the content you post? As the links above indicate, you are the only person to have ever been embargoed after about 150 approved comments that were consistently insulting, aggressive, and even went as far as making comparisons to Nazism.

You are clearly not coming to this site to contribute in any way. You are here to attack the site. This has always been the case and your strong, aggressive language was not only directed at editors, but also at readers whom you attacked personally. They asked us to put a stop to your behaviour.

Don’t be a sissy. You are constantly insulting people by accusing them of bribery; you ought to be able to take it being told to the face that you are very, very misguided.

Flooding was a side-effect of that I can never be sure whether a comment has gotten through or whether you are already censoring another proxy-server. Stop censorship and all will be well.
