Firstly, Microsoft funds CompTIA, which then participated in the abuse of ISO and push for OOXML. Van Der Beld now lobbies at CompTIA for Microsoft’s interests and he used to be at ECMA where he did the same thing (on Microsoft’s payroll pretty much). CompTIA did a lot more for OOXML |
