Microsoft is paying Novell a lot of money and in return Novell has launched a multi-pronged attack on the rest of Open Source. Open Source has fought back with as massive a counter attack against Novell as we can launch.
Ever since they signed the Microsoft-Novell agreement Novell has asked for peace with the rest of Open Source. Their idea of peace is that the rest of Open Source will quietly acquiesce in our own destruction. We won't do that so the fight will go on and on with no end in sight.
Unfortunately, that is what Novell has done. They got in cahoots with MS, the bully. Ballmer issued a warning to all Linux developers and users that only Novell was safe from that moment on. Novell's CEO stood by him grinning. I am done with Novell. And because of OpenSuse's connection with Novell, I won't touch it either.
I advice all other distros to avoid Novell's code that promote the use of Microsoft technologies, especially Mono. I don't care that if that means no Netflix on Linux. So be it.

... Microsoft tries to drive its critics into a state of desperation. It’s not so funny when you see victims of this and you see this more vividly in Microsoft's leaks (the Slog) ... This is a similar strategy, based on what I am told, to what the government tried to do to those resisting unnecessary wars. Ruining their name, driving them insane or driving them to suicide. I sense that what Reiser did relates to this

Oh, and I would be extremely weary of comments left on other websites that seem to support the points being made on this blog. One of Roy's collaborators is a well-known troll and nymshifter on Slashdot, and most of the other members of his cadre are known for descending on other websites as well to shill and pump the BoycottLine.
Who knows where else these people are actively trying to manufacture consent.
